Working & living as expatriate in Germany

Do Germans really drink beer at the office, but don’t laugh during working hours?
Is it true that there is no speed limit on the German Autobahn? How can I make friends?

One out of three of all expat assignments end prematurely and still companies pay little or no attention to the above questions, which are not addressed by relocation agencies. Cultural differences have to be acknowledged by companies and expats & their families, if they want to make the expat assignment successful.

Expatriates and their families who participate in this 2-day workshop will learn how to avoid the usual pitfalls and master the challenges of their stay in Germany:

  • Insight to German culture relating to everyday life like punctuality, do’s and don’ts, behaviors and values.
  • Office life in Germany: working styles & hours, meeting culture, hierarchy and dress code.
  • Private life in Germany: how to register, find a house, find a school for your children and make friends.

This 2-day workshop is in English.
Additional languages available upon request: German, French & Dutch for companies wanting to customize a workshop for their employees.

Durartion: 2 days
Target Group: Expatriates and their families newly arrived in Germany.
